Question--
Does anyone out there happen to know what a forbearer is? And before you answer, you ought to know the context.
Yesterday, That Guy in the White House spoke of the ideals of our forbearers. I'm trying to identify those ideals (apart from diction, of course), and thought that a definition of forbearer might provide a clue.

I have it on the highest authority that the forbearer is in fact a caddie's apprentice, generally restricted to carrying one iron.
Regarding the "ideals of our forbearers" - one assumes that the acolytes in question wish the White House patron to utilise the aforementioned equipment with such success as to warrant a generous consideration.
On the other hand, it could all be a load of cobblers. I hope this helps.
